It’s that time again…

Hey everyone! It’s been too long.
Over the last few months, I’ve been trying out new makeup products. I have as well changed the way I have apply my makeup, but we’ll talk about that another time, hehe!
Today, I’m going to tell you guys my Current Fave’s!
Let’s get started…

PRIMER:

Australis — Blemish Buster — acne-fighting primer.

Australis — Blemish Buster — acne-fighting primer.

When it come’s to oily skin, it’s ideal that I use a gel-based primer. This doesn’t make my skin feel blocked or oily, it however absorbs quickly into my skin & hydrates my face when used under my makeup.
The colour of the primer is a light-blue, which will help to heal and soothe redness in the skin’s pigment.

FOUNDATION/S:

Rimmel London — Match Perfection, no. 101 (classic ivory)
Rimmel London–Match Perfection, no. 200 (soft beige)

Light/medium coverage: Rimmel London — Match Perfection, no. 101 (classic ivory)
Rimmel London–Match Perfection, no. 200 (soft beige)

In the wintertime, I tend to go towards the lighter shades of foundation & stick to the warmer/darker shades in the summer seasons.

Maybelline New York — SUPER STAY, no. 21 (nude beige)

Medium/full coverage: Maybelline New York — SUPER STAY, no. 21 (nude beige)

With my skin type, its acne prone and can be oily, dry & sensitive all in 1 go, yeah I know, how fun! Haha!
When I’m having a good skin day & want to add a subtle layer on my face, I would reach for a light/medium coverage foundation.
When I’m heading out & want something to cover my problematic skin, I would reach for a medium/full coverage foundation.
So far, its been by far my favourite combo with foundations. Another great thing about these 2 brands, is that they’re easily found at your local supermarket or beauty store.

EYESHADOW/ PALETTES:

Day-to-Day tones:
Face powders, basic medium face bronzer.

Chi Chi Cosmetics — ‘Exotic Empress’ — Warm Neutrals Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

Night time tones:
Chi Chi Cosmetics — ‘Exotic Empress’ — Warm Neutrals Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

For eyeshadow tones that I wear during the day, tend to be nude/light brown shades. A lot of the times, I would just use my normal face powder to give me the slightest pigment, and a face bronzer to deepen up my crease.
Night time eye makeup for me varies, but if I want to stand out and dramatise my eyes, I’ll reach for the Chi Chi palette. For my eyes, I would dive into the warm peaches-purple tones. (These pigments really make the brown eyes look GORGEOUS).

BLUSH/ES:

BH Cosmetics — 10 Glamorous Blush Palette

BH Cosmetics — 10 GLAMOROUS BLUSH Palette (Mauve/coral tones)

Maybelline — Master High-lighting Blush, no. 30 (Coral)

Maybelline New York — Master Hi-lighting Blush, no. 30 (Coral)

I have duo fave’s for this one. When I want a peachy-tone blush, I will ALWAYS reach for my Maybelline blush.
When I want to have a mauve-tone blush that has a slight hint of peach to it, I’ll dive into my palette from BH Cosmetics.

Pigment: The Maybelline blush gives me a sheer-to-light flawless pigment, whereas the BH Cosmetics only needs a tiny touch, as its fuller in pigment show-up. A light hand is ideal for the BH Palette. Go HARD on the Maybelline blush as you can never get enough of its gorgeous finish!

HIGHLIGHTER/S:

Hourglass AMBIENT Strobe Lighting Powder — ‘EUPHORIC’

Hourglass AMBIENT Strobe Lighting Powder — ‘EUPHORIC’

Chi Chi Cosmetics — Highlighter Palette — ‘Sunset Glow’

Chi Chi Cosmetics — Highlighter Palette — ‘Sunset Glow’

Pigment: When I want to have a natural-‘melting into your skin’ highlighter, I will reach for my Hourglass powder. Its complimentary on my skin tone & doesn’t emphasise my pores.
If I want people on the other side of the road to see my blinding highlighter, I will for sure, reach for my Chi Chi palette. I go in and blend 2 shades; (Mooloolaba & Torquay)
A cute thing about the Chi Chi palette, is that the shades are named after Australia’s most iconic locations!

BRONZER:

Chi Chi Cosmetics — JUMBO BRONZER — ‘Mediterranean Queen’

Chi Chi Cosmetics — JUMBO BRONZER — ‘Mediterranean Queen’

This would have to be by far, my most cherished bronzer. The tone of it compliments my skin tone so well & has still to this day, lasted me FOREVER. A genius idea of having the bronzer size to be Jumbo, bonus!
This bronzer is also an eye opener when it’s used in my crease for day-time looks.

MASCARA/S:

Benefit Cosmetics — They’re Real — Tinted Lash Primer

DAYTIME: Benefit Cosmetics — They’re Real — Tinted Lash Primer

Maybelline New York — Colossal BIG SHOT Mascara

NIGHTTIME/DRAMATIC: Maybelline New York — Colossal BIG SHOT Mascara

When I want to add a tinge of something to my lashes I will yes, use the tinted lash primer. It gives a great pay off for when I want to look like I’ve made an effort most days, haha!

If I’m going out ‘on the town’, I will reach for my Maybelline mascara. It gives my lashes great VOLUME & LENGTH. The best thing as well is that it doesn’t clump my lashes, but dramatises each lash with the wand’s bristle.

As always, thank you so much for reading my latest blog.
