In one of my earlier blogs, I talked about some of my favourite makeup brushes, whether it be for the eyes or for my face.

Throughout the recent years, we’ve seen within social media the rave of new tools for makeup application, such things like: beauty blenders, silicone sponges, spray-applied tools for foundation and re-vamped makeup brushes. By that I mean, original brushes that have added quality to it for ensuring better coverage and consistency.

A recent new tool thats been all the rave, is the Oval-shaped brushes. Everyone wanted to try them out and see what the hype was about.

Fortunately for myself, I have been kindly sent the ‘10pc Lush Rose Gold Oval Makeup Brush Set’, to trial out and give a review on how they went within my makeup regime.

First off, I would like to thank ‘SimpleGlamGirls’ for getting in contact with me and for wanting to try out this brush collection ❤

If you’re interested in trying out this brush collection or see what else they have in store, head over to ‘www.simpleglamgirls.com’. You never know, you might find a bargain or two :)

10pc Lush Rose Gold Oval Makeup Brush Set

Within this brush collection, you are given 10 brushes. As you can see the handle of the brushes are matte black, with the neck handle in a rose gold finish.

The bristles are made from synthetic nylon, which means that they are ideal for applying cream and liquid products; also preventing any seepage or absorption of product.

These brushes are perfect for working with cream/liquid foundations.

As described on the website, you are able to also use these brushes for bronzing up the face and neck as well as ‘setting’ the face with a powder.

Within my makeup regime, I found that the brushes (shown above and in the picture below), blended my foundation and concealer so smoothly and seamlessly. Keeping in mind that I had applied face primer prior to the foundation step.

I came to realise that I needed less product to my face using these brushes, as they spread out my foundation a lot more than my other face brushes.

I do have to add in though that its best to apply the foundation first, onto the face. This would ensure that the product would be more on the skin than dripping down into the base of the bristle :)

The brushes shown above that have more of a flat head-like bristle, are ideal for cream products, whether that be for the eyes or face.

The slim-head brushes are also perfect for cleaning up the concealer under your eye liner if you choose to do a wing.

Another ‘place on the face’ to use the slim-head brushes is to also fill in the brows, whether it be brow pomades (cream) or powder.

The circular brushes displayed here ← — — — — are great for applying on concealers, colour correcting pigments and eyeshadows.

These brushes are also ideal to apply on lip products. This can be either sweeping on a basic lipstick, blending the lip pencils and adding a gloss over the lips.

Overall, I would highly recommend this brush collection to my friends, family and any makeup enthusiast who will fall in love with them as much as I have.
